Arizona's David Peralta (shoulder) placed on the 10-Day Injured List

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder David Peralta was placed (right AC joint inflammation) on the 10-Day Injured List retroactive to May 22.

What It Means:

Peralta has been dealing with this injury for a while so he will need a stint on the Injured List to fully recover. The Diamondbacks have replaced Peralta's roster spot with utility-man Tim Locastro.

In 191 at-bats this season, Peralta is hitting .309 with 7 home runs and 30 RBI.

Orioles' Dan Straily removed from the rotation

Baltimore Orioles pitcher Dan Straily will pitch from the bullpen going forward according to manager Brandon Hyde.

What It Means:

Straily has really struggled this season, giving up 35 earned runs in 34.2 innings pitched. In eight starts, the right-hander has produced a 9.09 ERA and 18 strikeouts.

Straily is averaging 6.5 FanDuel points this season.

Oakland Athletics place Khris Davis (hip) on the 10-Day Injured List

Oakland Athletics outfielder Khris Davis (hip) was placed on the 10-Day Injured List retroactive to May 22.

What It Means:

Davis will miss some time after suffering a hip contusion while making a catch earlier this month. Look for Mark Canha and Chad Pinder to see more playing time.

In 157 at-bats this season, Davis is hitting .248 with 12 home runs and 29 RBI.

Angels' Andrew Heaney (elbow) will start in Sunday's matchup against the Rangers

Los Angeles Angels pitcher Andrew Heaney (elbow) will make his first start of the season against the Texas Rangers on Sunday.

What It Means:

Heaney will make his 2019 debut after missing time with an elbow injury. In his last rehab start, the left-hander produced 10 strikeouts in 4.1 innings.

Our models project Heaney to produce a 4.79 ERA and 92 strikeouts this season.

Angels' Kole Calhoun sitting on Friday

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Kole Calhoun is out of Friday's starting lineup against the Texas Rangers.

What It Means:

Calhoun will head to the bench tonight with Shohei Ohtani handling designated hitting duties, Mike Trout in center field, and Brian Goodwin in center.

In 170 at-bats this season, Calhoun is hitting .224 with 9 home runs and 26 RBI.
