Austin Meadows goes 4-for-4, homers in Rays' win

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Austin Meadows went 4-for-4 with a home run, 3 RBI, a steal, and 2 runs scored in a 6-3 win over the Cleveland Indians on Sunday.

What It Means:

Meadows popped a leadoff homer, singled and scored in the third, was hit by a pitch and swiped a bag in the fifth, added an RBI single in the seventh, and finished things off with an RBI ground-rule double in the ninth. The 24-year-old is now slashing .341/.420/.659 with 10 taters, 27 RBI, 19 runs scored, and 5 steals across 143 plate appearances.

Meadows finished with 49.9 FanDuel points, his second-highest output of the season.

Kris Bryant leaves Cubs' loss early after collision

Chicago Cubs third baseman/outfielder Kris Bryant was removed from Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Reds in the sixth inning.

What It Means:

Bryant exited after colliding with teammate Jason Heyward while the two attempted to catch a fly ball. Cubs manager Joe Maddon says Bryant was hit on the side of the head/neck area, so he may wind up in the concussion protocol. Bryant finished 0-for-3 with a strikeout before leaving.

The 27-year-old is slashing .283/.405/.567 with 12 homers, 34 RBI, 42 runs scored, and a steal through 227 plate appearances.

David Price (illness) expected to start for Red Sox Tuesday or Wednesday

Boston Red Sox pitcher David Price (illness) is expected to start on Tuesday or Wednesday versus the Cleveland Indians.

What It Means:

The flu forced Price out of Saturday's start against the Houston Astros after just 2/3 of an inning. He's 2-2 through eight starts while posting a 3.24 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with 47 strikeouts and 10 walks across 41 2/3 innings.

numberFire's models expect Price to record a 3.89 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with 105 strikeouts and 31 walks over the rest of the season.

Pirates' Mitch Keller making MLB debut Monday

Pittsburgh Pirates pitching prospect Mitch Keller will be recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis to make his major league debut Monday versus the Cincinnati Reds.

What It Means:

Keller will start the second half of the Memorial Day doubleheader. The Pirates haven't indicated if it will be a spot start for the 23-year-old right-hander, or if he'll stick around in the rotation.

Keller has posted a 3.45 ERA and 1.43 WHIP with 56 strikeouts and 20 walks over 47 innings at the Triple-A level this season.

Yankees hope James Paxton (knee) will return this week

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Sunday that he hopes pitcher James Paxton (knee) will be able to rejoin the rotation this week for their series against the San Diego Padres.

What It Means:

The Yankees play the Padres Monday-Wednesday, so Paxton could potentially draw two starts this week after missing most of the month due to inflammation in his left knee.

Paxton put together a 3.11 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with 52 strikeouts and 13 walks across 37 2/3 innings before landing on the injured list.
